2019 is the year to hold the line on Pebble mine.

The rivers and streams of Bristol Bay are known by anglers around the globe as some of the greatest, and among the last exceptionally productive wild salmon streams remaining on earth. The massive mine proposal is currently advancing and clearly poses a direct threat to the thriving and irreplaceable salmon-based economy of the region.

Throughout the course of 9 public hearings (7 in Bristol Bay and 2 in Southcentral) more than 1,650 Alaskans attended. Of the testifiers, 77% were opposed to Pebble, and expressed rightful concerns of the rushed permitting process that is underway and risking Bristol Bay. Sport and commercial fishermen, tribal leaders, and many who simply care about the future of Alaska joined together to send this message loud and clear.
