Location - Dena’ina Center (600 W 7th Ave)

The Rally & Speakers will be from 5:30 - 6 p.m. at the corner of F street and 7th Avenue near the Dena'ina Center. At 7:00 p.m. there will be a gathering of Save Bristol Bay supporters at Humpy’s.

The hearing runs from noon to 8 p.m. and anyone is welcome to testify during that time. When you arrive at the Dena’ina Center, head inside and sign up to testify. Testimony will be accepted in the order of sign-ups.

The Pebble Partnership is pushing a fast-tracked mine permit review that undermines Alaskan jobs and salmon. Help send a clear message that Pebble Mine should not be built in Bristol Bay.
Without strong public opposition, one of Pebble's key permits could be granted.

Testify on Jason Brune for Dept. of Environmental Conservation

Learn about Jason Brune here.

Mr. Brune, former Pebble frontman in line to oversee Pebble’s state-level permits as head of the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), overcame his first hurdle in the appointment process for commissioner of DEC.

On Friday March 15th, 2019 Mr. Brune will make an appearance at the House Resource Committee for a second confirmation hearing.  The hearing begins at 1:20 pm. Public testimony will begin after a statement by Mr. Brune and questions from the committee.

The Save Bristol Bay campaign encourages Alaskans to contact members of House Resource Committee, and their House Representative, and tell them to say NO TO Mr BRUNE AS HEAD OF DEC

We also ask Alaskans to testify again in opposition and help send a definitive message that we will not let Pebble’s biggest fan approve its water and air quality permits.

There are several ways to testify:
