Get Ready to Savor Bristol Bay in Seattle and Portland Pick up your fork, fire up the grill, and get ready to savor some wild Bristol Bay salmon July 4 – July 10. Bristol Bay’s salmon and story will be coming to the Pacific Northwest during a weeklong celebration of the world’s largest sockeye salmon fishery located in the remote corner of Bristol Bay, Alaska. Chefs in Portland, OR and Seattle, WA will be featuring Bristol Bay salmon on their menus alongside information about Bristol Bay’s sustainable salmon fishery and ways you can help Trout Unlimited and its partners protect it. Local retailers will also be featuring Bristol Bay salmon in their seafood cases so you can buy some and bring it home for dinner. Seattle, WA Events Bristol Bay salmon cooking class: You can also savor Bristol Bay salmon at PCC Markets which will hosting a special, one-time-only Bristol Bay salmon cooking class Wednesday July 7 from 6:30pm – 9pm. Celebrated chef and cookbook author, Becky Selengut, will teach you how to prepare Bristol Bay salmon in delicious and stunning ways. Sign up before it's sold out! PCC Markets will also be selling wild Bristol Bay salmon in all its stores as part of Savor Bristol Bay week FREE Red Gold screenings July 6th and July 8th: Come see and learn what Bristol Bay is all about. Roy Street Coffee&Tea (www.roystreetcoffee.com) will be hosting two FREE screenings of the award-winning documentary film, Red Gold, Tuesday July 6 and Thursday July 8. The program will start at 7:30pm on both nights followed by discussion and Bristol Bay salmon appetizers prepared by local Seattle chefs. Seating is first come, first served.
